Amplifying Black Lives Matter for a sustainable future

I work as a communications aide for ASU's School of Sustainability, so I have been using my platform to uplift these needed environmental and racial narratives. As a student in sustainability and urban planning, it is salient to me the injustices that BIPOC communities face. "Is it possible to include conservationists, economists, urban planners, sustainability professionals, and social activists in the reformation process? To this question, I say that we should recognize the systemic racism in our society as an environmental issue and that racial equity should be the focal point for sustainable development."
